His research interests focus on understanding the emergence of low-energy nuclear physics directly from the fundamental theory of Quarks and Gluons, namely, Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). His work involves various different subfields of QCD such as Lattice QCD, QCD Spectroscopy, Scattering Theory, Hadron Structure, and more with his goal as a Theoretical Physicist being to bridge the gap between our theoretical models and the phenomenological picture being constructed via experiment. His research as been recognized with the Kenneth G. Wilson Award for Excellence in Lattice Field Theory (2017) and the Department of Energy Early Career Award (2018).
