Astronomy 7A is the first course in the introductory Astronomy 7 sequence. It is a four unit course.

Overview

Prerequisites

Math 1A, Math 1B, Physics 5A or Physics 7A, Physics 5B or Physics 7B may be taken concurrently.

“The focus of these classes [Astronomy 7A/B] is on the math and physics behind astro, at an intro level; it is far more quantitative than qualitative. The classes are extremely helpful preparation for upper division astro classes as they go over the fundamental physics behind concepts that are essential for upper-div astro classes like stellar physics and cosmology, as well as introducing the curricula of those classes.
